Creating Space In Your Child’s Room
It is incredible the way that a child’s room seem to shrink exponentially the older they get. Toddler rooms can become especially cramped, as their toys are constantly pulled out of their toy box, and left in different places on the floor.
While there isn’t much you can do about messes (and if you ever find a way to keep a kid from making them you will want to patent it and make millions), you can increase the space in their room. This is done simply enough. All it takes is a little creativity, and utilizing the unused portions of the room.
For example, why not use the ceiling? You can attach nets to the corners of the walls and ceiling to hold unused stuffed animals. This will get them away from the floor, where they often end up in the search for other toys.
You can also use the walls themselves. All you have to do is add in a few shelves, or hang up portable cubbies. These cubbies are great, and usually collapsible, hung on small hooks. You can also get organizers to go on the back of the child’s door to hold toys, shoes, or little odds and ends.
