But whether you are obese and looking to become healthy, or just have a few holiday pounds that are stubbornly staying put, there are a few foods that could give you the stamina, energy, and metabolic boost you need to succeed. </p>
<p><strong>Beef</strong> &#8211; Don&#8217;t listen to the hype, beef isn&#8217;t bad for you. In fact, it can be a crucial element to a healthy diet. That doesn&#8217;t mean you should start stocking up on ground beef products, and greasy fast food burgers. Instead, stick with lean, thin sliced steaks or roasts. </p>
<p><strong>Oils</strong> &#8211; While vegetable oils and high fat content is always a concern, olive oil and canola oil are two great options for cooking. While they have plenty of fat, it is good fat (yes, there is such a thing!), and it improves heart health. This is an important factor for anyone, but especially those who are significantly overweight. </p>
<p><strong>Fish</strong> &#8211; Having a main fish course twice a week has been found to improve your chances of weight loss, and improve heart health. It is also a great energy-boosting food, and easy to prepare. Whether you love a nice piece of salmon, or go crazy for cod, fish is a great weight loss aid. </p>
<p><strong>Avocado</strong> &#8211; Another food that gets a bad rep, avocados are heart healthy option, and an alternative to high calorie guacamole. Just imagine some beef, peppers, and onions sauteed in canola oil, and placed on an all wheat tortilla with a slice of avocado. Now that is a weight loss meal you can get behind!</p>
